The daylight hours are fairly short this time of year. Mornings will come late and evenings are early in the shadow of Little Elk Mountain. But as I gaze out of the my dinning room window the sun breaks over the ridge and breathes beauty into the little sweet gum tree that popped up in the middle of a stand of Rose Of Sharon bushes. The bright yellow leaves gave been saving the sunshine all year in expectations of short days. It’s when the days are dark that we have to shine our brightest and be the light for someone else.
