Sunshine And Dew Drops

Hello friends! Tonight’s feature image is titled “Sunshine And Dew Drops” all of the photos are my original work and are available as prints by following the instructions at the bottom of the article.

The morning mist flows softly across the edge of the forest leaving tiny droplets on everything it kisses. The wildflowers seem to receive the gift with a joy that’s unspoken as they gaze up at the awakening sun. Soon the insects begin to stir. The pollen and nectar will be made extra sweet just for them. Science has confirmed that the plant life reacts to the morning chorus of birds by waking up themselves. Like living factories they go into silent production in time with the sounds of nature. As I consider theses things it strikes me as odd that humans see themselves as in creation but separate from it. How absurd is it to think that? We need to be kissed by the same light. We need the same air and our hearts are lifted by the same songbirds. We need to change our perspective on the identity of the human race. We are not aliens on planet earth. In fact, we are the caretakers of the garden. Recently I heard Jack Spirko of The Survival Podcast mention that science has confirmed that the Amazon rainforest is a manmade garden. A garden the size of a continent! I know it’s hard to conceive of such a thing so I’m providing a link to the Smithsonian Magazine article about the manmade Amazon Jungle.

When I view this information with the knowledge that the American Chestnut was once so plentiful that trainloads of wildcrafted chestnuts once crossed the land I have to ask if North America was also a manmade forest?

I look back down at the black-eyed Susan covered in the morning dew. The Native Americans used it for medicine. It is planted today as an ornamental plant and it often spreads. In small ways, perhaps we’re still maintaining an ancient garden.
