A Short Trip Into The World Of Reflection

Hello Friends! Tonight’s feature image is titled “Deep Reflections 61620a” and is available for purchase by the instructions at the bottom of the article.

The still water brings to life a mirror image of the surrounding forest. As I gaze into topsy turvy world below my imagination pulls out visions of being able to swim through the sky and dive into the tree tops. In my dreamworld water is as breathable as air. The realm of the fish fades away as if it had been the reflection and the reflection was reality. Here we can swim through clouds and shape them into the images we desire see. We look down to waters surface and the world we just left shimmers as a small bird skimmes the edge of our new reality. The ripples emanate throughout this realm of reflection and it tickles when the waves pass through our bodies. The bird that caused the ripples disappears over the edge of pond but the reflection soars into the void beyond our perception. It’s that moment that the decision to either follow the world if reflections into oblivion or return to the real world and become merely normal once more. Living in a dreamworld might sound appealing at first but the realization that a person can only hold back the truth for so long beckons one to return to the world of challenges. After all, it’s the challenges that become victories.

  1. It would be nice to live in dreamland, but as you point out, reality calls, and it has its rewards. 🙂 I love reflections. I haven’t quite mastered them. My model might be a bit impossible though. A friend once sent me a reflection photograph that was so good that I couldn’t tell which part of the image was the reflection!

    1. I tend to have really vivid dreams and after a while I learned to do lucid dreaming. Sometimes I get inspiration from that.

One secrete of doing reflection photos is the angle of the light. It seems like the lower the sun the better the reflection. Water that is very still will give the clearest image so if the wind is blowing it disrupts the reflection. You can sometimes adjust the camera angles to get a better reflection. 😊
