A single drop of rain falls into the mountains. As it explores the forest floor it creeps beneath the leaves and squeezes through the tiny crevasses in the rocks it pools with others like itself. Soon the individual drops become a stream and together they fill the empty places. The streams soon join into a creek. Now they move the stones and twigs that once held them back. As the community of droplets continue to bond together they are no longer contained by the former barriers and they form the river. As a whole river they can now move tons effortlessly.
Its the same with people. As an individual, a person can do very little. An individual has to seek what opportunity he can. Like the single drop of rain he can only go where there is little or no resistance. A small group can find more opportunities. But after a certain point a community can remover barriers and make opportunities. Of course this means that we must all be in agreement about what opportunity should be made and how the landscape must be modified but the point is that we are more powerful together than we can ever be as an individual.
