The Treasures Of The Mountain

Hello Friends! Tonight’s Feature Image is titled “Appalachian Treasures 102020a” and is available for purchase by clicking the thumbnail and reaching out to me on the contact page.

The breeze carries that familiar sweet earthy scent of freshly fallen leaves throughout the hills and valleys. If I am still enough I can hear the leaves gently tumbling through the branches before softly coming to rest on the ground. Small birds of every feather all around collecting their favorite seed and hunting insects. The sun sweeps across the the landscape caressing fully changed leaves to reveal the secret treasure of the mountains. Golden leaves shine brilliantly and behind them the rich red forms a velvety blanket. Could a royal treasury hold another spender more wonderous than the glory of nature in her seasons? Do kings not trade their treasures for landscape that contains such glorious moments as is found in our mountains? Step outside your door and smell the breeze, accept the sun’s touch and let your eyes fall on the treasures that surround you and enjoy your life in the time you’re given.

Good night friends and be blessed throughout your days.

    1. Thank you Amy ❤️
We are approaching the end of peak color here. I can stretch the season a little by going to different places and keeping a tight frame on the shot but soon I’ll be looking for subject matter to photograph. I don’t get the beautiful snow fields that you do. Just bare trees and lots of mud. lol.
