From Green To Gold

Hello Friends! Tonight’s Feature Image is titled “From Green To Gold 91621” and is available for purchase by clicking the thumbnail and reaching out to me on the contact page.

The song in my heart plays a soft native flute as I tread gently beneath the river birch. It’s only a few notes that repeat but it sets a mood as I walk. I looked closely at the salmon pink bark that curls out from the trunk. I look for any hidden wildlife that might seek shelter from the sun within the shadows but this time nothing moves except for the emerald green solitary bees that are clustered in the sweet Goldenrod to my left. Green and Gold are the color of the day and it seems that the small birch is in tune with the season. The sun is a little lower in the sky and each day loses a few minutes. The green leaf of this birch is already preparing for the grand finale of 2021 as it slowly trades its green for gold. In just a few weeks the Appalachian Mountains will begin to bid the sun farewell with a display to rival the finest sunsets. The turning of the first leaf is a mark on the natural calendar. Soon after the forest will sleep and dream of a glorious spring.

Good night friends and be blessed throughout your days.

  1. A new season, of golden splendor is coming to your area and is already here in Alaska. Love how you describe your heart having a native flute as you observe the forest. Blessings of joy as the seasons change.
