Little by little and day by day the sun reclaims it’s rightful place in the sky. In January it’s barely noticeable but soon the royal displays of red and purple will linger a little while longer above the high mountain peaks. Colorful clouds hold onto the fading light unwilling to yield their most prized treasure to the icy blackness of the winter night. In the little village below the mountain windows flicker to life as the villagers echo the sky’s desires for light and life. Eventually the night wins the wrestling match and the sun sleeps again. But God’s celestrial clock is set and soon the sun will rise with renewed strength to overcome the darkness. By late March the night will be vanquished and the landscape will fully awaken.
